Cycle BOOTCAMP!
Kickstart your career in bike mechanics with our fully funded, hands-on Cycling Programme, in partnership with Groundwork London and Cycle Confident.
What You’ll Learn
- City & Guilds Level 2 in Cycle Mechanics: industry recognised by employers across the cycling sector
- Hands-On Bike Skills; repair punctures, replace brakes & gears, service bearings, bottom brackets, cranks, headsets & frames, build wheels, prepare frames & forks, fit accessories
- Real Work Experience: 5-day placement: mobile repairs, cyclist support, customer communication, efficient setup
- Career Support: CV help, interview preparation, and employability guidance
Practical Information
- Moderate physical work involved
- Bring appropriate footwear and warm, comfortable clothing
- Bring refreshments/packed lunch
- All tools and safety equipment provided
- Travel costs will be covered
- Great timekeeping and a positive attitude required
Eligibility
- Must live in a London borough
- Not in work, training or education (NEET)
- Aged 19+ with proof of right to work in the UK
- Practical assessment day to demonstrate your skills
- Have an interest in bicycles and cycling
